With the new academic year just around the corner, renowned international scholarship programs have rolled out their scholarship programs for the academic year 2020. If you are interested to pursue higher education studies in a foreign country, we have complied a list of international scholarship programs that might be of help to you.

1) Germany

- Government Aided Scholarship Program:

DAAD Scholarship:

Duration: 12 Months, 24 Months, 36 Months

Sponsored by: Funded by the BMZ (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development)

Financial Coverage: Free tuition fee

Monthly Stipend 850 euros for a master and 1,200 euros for doctoral applicants

Medical insurance is also covered by DAAD.

Travel Allowance.

Course Level: Masters, Ph.D.

 

- University Aided Scholarship Program:

Heinrich Boll Foundation Scholarship:

Heinrich Boll Foundation is giving 1200 Scholarships for International Students. This Foundation is also giving scholarships to the European Union, and German Students to study in Germany for Free.

Financial Coverage: Fully sponsored

 

 

2) Romania

Government Aided Scholarship Program:

65 EURO/Month, for Undergraduate Students (1st cycle).

75 EURO/Month, for Master Studies (2nd cycle).

3) Canada

Vanier is the most competitive Canada Graduate Scholarships as this scholarship is not only open for international students but also open for Canadian Citizens too.

Sponsored by: Government of Canada

Duration: 3 years

Financial Coverage: Canada Graduate Scholarship will give you $50,000 per year which is enough to give university fees, dormitory, and a living allowance of 1 person for Study in Canada.

Course Level: MS leading to Ph.D. and Ph.D. in it. If you are going for MS leading to Ph.D., then the duration of this MS leading to Ph.D. will be more than 03 years. Vanier funding is only for 03 years. Therefore, you have to look for extra funding for extra years in case of MS leading to Ph.D. But for Ph.D., you can avail it for the full-time duration, which is three years.

 

4) Switzerland

Government Aided Scholarship Program:

The Swiss Government Scholarship is a fully funded scholarship for all international students who are looking to pursue Higher Education studies in Switzerland.

Research Scholarships: 12 Months Maximum

Doctoral Scholarships: 12 Months (starting in September) prolong able up to 36 months based on the achieved academic results

5) Ireland

Structured Research Master’s Degree: 2 Years

Traditional Doctoral Degree: 3 Years

Structured Doctoral Degree: 4 Years

Financial Coverage:

A stipend of €16,000 per annum

Contribution to fees, including non-EU fees, up to a maximum of €5,750 per annum

Eligible direct research expenses of €2,250 per annum.

6) Belgium
