ZCSS: Education making a change in the lives of families

Every parent strives to provide the best that they can for their children. Every parent dreams to see their children succeed and to be in a better position than themselves.  Education is an immeasurable means to building a solid and successful future.  Sadly, for most parents in third world countries, they have no choice but to put their hopes for their children aside because they simply do not have the means to provide an education for them.  As they must do whatever they can to be able to obtain basic necessities, providing their children with an education is a distant hope. As they grow, their children fall into the same cycle of life.

Some children are able to beat the odds and are fortunate enough to receive an education ~ a gift that they do not take for granted.  These students who have received support through ZCSS in India have used their education to establish a better life and future for not only themselves but for their families as well.

Meet Farhan
Farhan’s mother employed at a Girls High School struggled to provide an education to her children and was not able to let Farhan study further.  Through ZCSS he studied with hard work and sincerity and completed his advanced studies.  Now married and settled in Australia, he is able to support himself, his family and his mother.

Meet Fazal
From a middle class family, Fazal’s parents were not able to afford further studies for their children after primary school.  After completing his B.Tech with assistance through ZCSS he is newly married and working and living abroad.  His education has enabled to him to support his aging parents and his family.

Meet Nayyar
Nayyar’s mother passed away 4 years back.  Before she died, she worked as a nanny for a short time and Nayyar’s father did not have a regular salary.  The eldest daughter in her family, ZCSS has supported her from Kindergarten through to her graduation. Upon completing her B.Sc in Nursing, she has begun working as a nurse in a private hospital and is now able to look after her father and family.

Through the support of ZCSS, these students have been able to fulfill the dreams of their parents.  They have been able to build a life for themselves and their families.  Help fulfill the dreams of a parent for their child.

ZCSS (Zainabiyya Child Sponsorship Scheme) is an initiative of The World Federation started by Marhum Mulla Asghar and has been running for over 30 years. The World Federation of KSMIC’s education objective is to empower communities with the ability to become self-sufficient. The most efficient method of reducing illiteracy is through education. This sponsorship scheme supports young students in less advantaged Shia populated areas of the world in order for them to complete their education, ranging from Primary through to higher education.

Sponsoring a child through The World Federation’s Zainabiyya Child Sponsorship Scheme (ZCSS) undoubtedly begins a domino effect that carries over ten fold.  When you help to educate a child, you are helping to educate a nation.  Let’s give access to education to everyone, because everyone deserves a chance to learn.

ZCSS has made a difference in the lives of thousands ~ but this would not be possible without the support of sponsors like you.

ZCSS works in Kenya, Tanzania, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Haiti. The scheme started with a humble few students and over the years has supported over 25,000 students, many of whom who have succeeded in changing their lives, the lives of their families and their communities.

It is a common known fact that education plays a major role in the success of an individual.  However in many countries the gap between male and female literacy levels exists because women have been discouraged from receiving the same educational benefits as men.  Women also have less of an opportunity to pursue an education due to financial constraints, and often the males of the family are educated and the females are not.

As a new school year begins, parents are preparing for fresh term, but in many parts of the world, this preparation itself is an unachievable dream.
