Every parent strives to provide the best that they can for their children. Every parent dreams to see their children succeed and to be in a better position than themselves.
Many people care about education, however there are few who truly care about educating others.
Ebrahim Tejani was one such individual whose dedication towards Zainabiyya Child Sponsorship Scheme was unique. He truly cared about changing the world we live in today, and he saw the vehicle of success that brought about change to be Education.
A community man, Ebrahim Tejani was paramount to the success of ZCSS. He believed in the power of education to transform communities and saw people as Human Capital that required careful nurturing and investment. However just as few people care about Educating others, to transfer that passion and belief into actions is a leap that only a handful take.
Therefore it was the pleasure of The Assistant Secretary General for ZCSS, Masum Somji to present Ebrahim Tejani with an award that signified a lifetime of servitude and dedication for his services in the Middle East East Region. Ebrahim has relocated and Africa and we hope to have his continued service in Africa as well. The aware was presented to him by the past President of The World Federation, Dr. Ahmed Hassam in Dubai.
Masum Somji, ASG for ZCSS added, "At ZCSS we rely on ambassadors such as Ebrahim Tejani to bring us new donors. His efforts to bring to us a countless number of donors is truly rare. We hope and pray the efforts of Ebrahim continue to inspire the next generation of ambassadors to follow in his footsteps."
The Zainabiyya Child Sponsorship Scheme continues to provide an education to some of the world's most underprivileged students. We currently sponsor over 5400 students, in 7 countries around the world. The Scheme is built around the idea of child sponsorship to ensure sustainability, and we hope that our donors continue to invest in the provision of education around the world.
A wise man once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”, and our Holy Prophet once said, "Seek Education from cradle to grave." We believe ZCSS to be that vehicle for progress and change, and it is your responsibility to be the change you would like to see in the world by sponsoring a child, and becoming an ambassador for ZCSS, by encouraging your friends and families to do so too.

Around the world, almost 61 million children are deprived access to basic education. In 2008, an estimate stated that 60% of these children are girls. And within developing nations, the completion rate of primary school between the two genders is greater than 10%. Almost 100 million girls worldwide who start primary school don’t finish and the numbers rise for secondary education where it is not possible for more than 200 million children. The gender gap between boys and girls rises even more within the enrollment and completion of secondary school.
