The World Federation Opens a New Branch Office in Najaf, Iraq

 

On the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Ghadir, The World Federation is pleased to announce the opening of its Najaf Branch Office in the holy proximity of Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.) in Najaf al-Ashraf.

 

The branch office will provide The World Federation with new opportunities to serve the community. In particular, it will help The World Federation meet its aims for greater, more effective Islamic education and spiritual guidance. Furthermore, the branch office will act as a much-needed liaison point for coordinating The World Federation’s humanitarian work in Iraq.

 

Among the main aims of The World Federation Najaf Branch Office are the following:

1.         To facilitate The World Federation’s communication with the Maraji in Iraq

2.         To assist students with gaining admission to the hawza in Najaf and to support them during their studies

3.         To organise projects in line with the objectives of The World Federation Islamic Education Department

4.         To coordinate projects relating to WF-Aid in Iraq

 

The World Federation is also delighted to announce that Al-Haj Shabbir Dharsi of Vancouver, Canada has been appointed Manager of the Najaf branch office.

Resolution passed at the Second Executive Council Meeting of the term 2017-2020

 

IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Executive Council authorises the Office Bearers to open a branch office in Najaf, Iraq
