“God, His angels and all those in Heavens and on Earth, even ants in their hills and fish in the water, call down blessings on those who instruct others in beneficial knowledge.” – The Holy Prophet (s) Students of the Islamic Seminary at Qom study different Uloom (sciences) in Persian language in most of the Madaaris (schools). The World Federation Qom office, respecting the needs of students, decided to provide facilities for learning spoken Arabic language in order to better equip the students for their studies. |
By the grace of Almighty Allah (SWT), the first batch of this course for sisters is set to come to an end soon. The students who complete this session can speak and write Arabic and also listen to and sufficiently understand different Islamic & non-Islamic books in Arabic.
This is a skill that will insha’Allah help them in their tableegh (propagation) of Islam. Moreover, Arabic language provides them with an opportunity to communicate with the people of more than 20 countries having 290 million native speakers worldwide.
The course was taught by Mr. Qasim Assady, who has more than 10 years of experience in teaching the Arabic Language. He was previously serving Al-Mustafa International University, Syria Chapter.
Students at the end of the course said the following:
“The course books and the approach used in teaching this Arabic course were unique and very helpful in learning Arabic. It gave us a framework around which we can work on our own and continue to improve the language individually even after this course. I recommend it to anyone who is committed to learn Arabic...”
“Alhamdulillah, I had the opportunity to attend this course…Now when I recite (or listen to) the Qur’an I do not want to have to close it, I just want to keep reading more and more since I am able to understand it. It has such a touching effect on my heart that I feel like Allah (SWT) is talking directly to me. It is as though I have been given a very important key of my mind that opened the doors to the understanding of Qur’an and ahadith.”
A second session – this time for brothers as well as sisters - will be commenced in next academic semester, God-Willing.
We hope to be able to continue to provide this essential course for as long as is feasible and appreciate any donation or help towards the education of our young sisters and brothers who are striving to attain greater levels of knowledge.
The cost of running this course is currently USD1,100 per month and contributors can donate in part or full towards this noble cause.
