A Narration of Najaf: A Travelogue by Shaykh Kumail Rajani - Part 3 of 4

Ayatullah Bashir Najafi was kind enough to allocate a separate time for a meeting at his house. I got chance to sit with him almost for 30 minutes during which we spoke about the different activities of the World Federation of KSIMC and its members. He had a huge appreciation for the community and the variety of work carried out by the organisation.

He then explained how he was able to reach the level of ijtihad and marajaiyyat during his long stay in Najaf.   He was pleased to know that Islamic Education was led by the Hawza students within the community and gave a gift of a large number of his books for further readings.

I also got the opportunity to attend the lectures of Ayatullah Ishaq Fayyaz and Ayatullah Sayyed Hakim and managed to meet them for a short amount of time.

The other scholars whose lectures were well attended were Shaykh Baqir Irwani, Shaykh Hadi Aal e  Raadi, Shaykh Muhammad Sanad, Shaykh Jawahiri, Sayyid Sabzwari and Sayyid Ali Akbar Hairi. Majority  of the teachings was held in Madrasat al Garaviyah of haram.
