India Federation holds the 4th Supreme Council Meeting

 

India Federation on 16th January 2019 held its 4th Supreme Council Meeting at Haji Nazarali Imambargah in Kurla Mumbai. The meeting was well attended by all members. The President of the World Federation of KSIMC, Alhajj Anwerali Dharamsi graced the occasion along with Vice Chairman of Africa Federation and Executive Councillor of WF, Alhajj Aunali Khalfan.

 

The conference began with a recitation of selected verses of the Holy Quran by Alhajj Jaffer Panjwani and an opening speech by The President of India Federation, Alhajj Suhel Bhurani followed by a brief intro of all members and observers. Members included Office Bearers of Jamaats from Mumbai; Bhuj, Kera, Nagalpur (of Kutch Federation); Sarkhej Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar, Palitana (Council of Gujarat); Rajura, Hinganghat, Brahmapuri (Vidharbha region); Pune and Bangalore amongst others.

 

Discussions carried out were all focused towards growth and development of the community. The Secretary General, Alhajj Ali Akbar Shroff conducted the meeting in full professionalism covering all agenda points with full participation of the august house.

 

Alhajj Anwar Bhai in his closing speech appreciated the success of India Federation and gave a message full of guidance for the community in India. In his message, he discussed on the importance of:

1. The Madreesa in shaping the future of the young generation, 

2. Mimbar guidelines that be kept in mind before inviting a speaker causing a rift and hampering unity of the community.

3. Preservation of our heritage.

Apart from the above, he emphasised on the role of education, communication, health and economic development. Hon.President Anwarbhai pledged USD 25,000 towards Education, USD 10,000 towards medical and USD 7,000 towards Kutch boarding via The World Federation and an additional USD 30,000 towards Education, Medical and Economic development via his own personal donation.

 

Alhajj Aunali Khalfan congratulated the council and especially Aliakbar Shroff to have conducted the conference with great patience and professionalism. He appreciated that India Federation is clear with its vision and goals.

 

The conference concluded with the recitation of Seegah of Ukuwwat (brotherhood) and dua for salamati of Imam e Zamana (atfs).
