The 20th of Safar marks the fortieth day – Arba’īn - after the martyrdom of Imām Ḥusayn (a) in Karbalā’. After the fall of Saddam Husein, Iraq has seen a large influx of pilgrims from not just within Iraq, but as well as from all over the world, to mark the occasion of Arba’īn.
