AFED SOLIDARITY DAY 2020 –

15TH SHAB’AN 1441 

"The reward of goodness is nothing but goodness"

[Holy Qur’an - Al Rahman; 55:61].

The Federation of KSI Jamaats of Africa (AFED) marks the 15th of Shab’an each year as “Solidarity Day” to coincide with the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of our 12th Imam – Al Hujjah Al Mahdi (ATFS).  This year 15th Shab’an will Insha’allah fall on Thursday, 9th April 2020. 

AFED has dedicated this annual occasion to raise funds continuously from 1st to 25th Shab’an 1441 A.H. (26th March to 19th April 2020). The funds which are collected are utilized throughout the year to provide assistance to the deserving, less fortunate and low income earning families in the Jamaats under AFED who are struggling to pay school fees for their children, for their medical care and other essential household living expenses etc.  

The importance of Solidarity Day cannot be stressed enough; Solidarity Day, by a definition, is “Unanimity” and the significance of this is the inspiration we derive in the celebration of the birth anniversary of the Imam of our time, Imam Muhammad ibn al-Hassan al-Mahdi (ATFS).  

We humbly request you to support this worthy cause through your generous contributions; at this point let us reflect on the following verse of the Holy Qur’an which stresses compassion and reward; 

“Those who give to charity by night and by day, secretly and publicly, they will have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve” 

 [Holy Qur’an, Surah Al Baqarah; 2:274].
