A two-day day workshop was organised by The World Federation India Office and KSI Jamaat of Mumbai on 5 and 6 October 2013. This workshop was the fourth and last workshop organised on the theme of Family Ethics.

The workshop session in progress
The workshop aimed to discuss:
• The wheel of life and how to make the most of it
• The five love languages
• How to manage change
• Practical tips and skills for a successful family life
• The communication cliché
• The daughter-in-law and mother-in-law and how to make it a daughter-mother relationship
• Anger management
Br. Abbas Merali of London and Sr. Fatima Somji of Dares Salaam facilitated the workshops. The guest aalim, Maulana Gulam Abbas Zainpuri, appreciated the efforts of the organisers. He led the Salah and solved queries on Islamic Laws raised by the participants.
The workshop was a residential weekend retreat 100 kilometres away from the buzzing city life of Mumbai, at Khoja Sanatorium, Khandala. There were 9 participating couples from Mumbai and neighbouring cities. The course fees were subsidised.

The sessions were interactive and casual styled and were liked by all the couples. The breakout sessions were also very busy for the facilitators as the participants did not leave any opportunity to learn more on how to make their family life better!
S. Damani, one of the participants, commented: “It is 10 out of 10 workshop! Abbasbhai is very energetic, humorous, easy-going person & a knowledge master! Fatema Aapa is also very nice and knowledgeable.”
Zaheer SURNAME said: “I liked the relationship graph, love languages and activity sessions. Keep up the good work, Thank you World Federation!”
Aliraza and Bibi Sheeba commented: “It was a lovely workshop along with Abbasbhai and Fatema aapa who are very knowledgeable persons. We learnt lots of things to avoid future disturbance. Since we are newly married it will help us. We learnt about many different ideas which we had never thought of. The whole event was very insightful for all of us.”
The workshop ended with an emotional and inspirational video on how to expect less from life and make life more vibrant and joyful.
