On Sunday 12 July 2009 the Ja'ffari Islamic Youth group of Toronto will be organizing an event for families with younger children or couples at the African Lion Safari, Canada's Original Safari Adventure.
In the first week of December the President of The World Federation, Al Hajj Safder Jaffer, along with the Head of the Islamic Education Department, Shaykh Dr Murtadha Alidina, visited Iraq. Besides the Ziyarat of the Aimma (A) at the Holy shrines of Najaf, Karbala, Samarrah and Kadhamayn, there was an extensive meeting with His Eminence al-Sayyid al Sistani (dz) and other prominent Marajae’, Ulemaa and sites.
Alhamdulillah, the trip was very fruitful with many blessings for our future community work. A more detailed report from the Islamic Education Department and Secretariat to follow soon.

The North American Shia Ithna'ashari Community Organization also known as NASIMCO is delighted to be amongst the few umbrella organizations who have understood the importance of the community's core - the women.
