The World Federation visits Montenegro

The President of The World Federation, Dr Asgar Moledina, visited Montenegro earlier this month accompanied by Al Haj Razaaly Hiridjee. The purpose of the trip was to look at the various investment opportunities available for our community in Montenegro.

We have a small but growing community in Montenegro, who are keen to get involved with the work of The World Federation. It is very encouraging to note that the Muslim community in MONTENEGRO is very tolerant and welcoming. The country is an oasis of peace & stability in the region with very positive atmosphere and incentives for foreign investment.

During their stay in the capital of Montenegro, Podgorica, they met with various government officials as well as social and religious leaders. They had detailed discussions with the Deputy Prime Minister, Rafet Husovic, who can be seen in the picture below with a follow up meeting with Deputy PM responsible for economic Policy and financial planning, Prof Vujica Lazovic.  A dossier containing information about the investment opportunities in the country is being prepared and will be shortly available to our entrepreneurs, professionals and interested businessmen.

During their stay, they toured the entire Adriatic coast; from Tivat, the Croatian coast, through to Ulcinj at the Albanian coast. There are multiple investment opportunities available ranging from production of clean energy, banking, telecommunications, education, mining, construction, real estate development, logistics and many more. In order to move this agenda forward, The President of THE WF, Dr Moledina has appointed Al-Haj Razaaly Hiridjee as a Special Representative of The President of The World Federation of KSIMC on International Development – Montenegro. Further visits are being planned to follow up on the initial discussions.

The President, Dr Asgar Moledina, said he really enjoyed visiting Montenegro – a beautiful country with incredible opportunities.
