This marked the most important day of the Mentors Development Programme. It is the day that gave us the most confidence and we hope that we can make do the best for our mentees.

The day started with a reflection session where we were trying to evaluate how much impact the programme has impacted us so far. There was a great change among the mentors on how they can handle different scenarios compared to how we could have done in the first day. A lot of different scenarios were brought forward and Alhamdulillah we managed to handle them successfully using the knowledge and techniques we had learnt so far. This gave us motivation and willingness to receive the participants for their betterment.

We also had an introduction session on the three weeks programme. The programme is so interesting because it has aspects to develop the participants in all dimensions e.g  spiritually, socially, mentally and physically.

So far I can say that the mentors are fully prepared to receive the mentees and hopefully it's going to be three successful weeks for everyone involved in every part of the programme, Inshallah!

The third day of the mentor training session started off, as usual, in the morning. However, this time, with the realisation that we were almost done with the training and the fact that the participants will starting to arrive the next day increased our levels of excitement and anxiety.

Our day began with the delegation of tasks such as the airport pick ups, room allocations and class arrangements for the participants. We moved onto the beautiful recitation from the Holy Qur'an by Brother Hasan, then we had a quick review of what we had covered the previous day.

The highlight of our training session was our time with sister Najia.

She demonstrated to us specific means and ways to cater to the needs of the participants, in order to help them benefit from the course.

She based her talk on the following principle: "You are not mentors by chance..You are here for a purpose. It is Imam Raza (a.s) and Bibi Ma'suma (a.s) who have chosen you and brought you here to take up this responsibility. Each Zaa'ir has a lofty position. So treat each other accordingly". After the talk, we were left inspired and in high spirits, eager to meet the participants, to get to know them and start the course.

In addition to all of the above, we also had Agha Nadir Jaffer specify the agenda for the coming weeks. The itenirary consists of different Islamic classes, sports and a course outline that seems to inshallah fulfill all expectations regarding spirituality, knowledge, fun etc.

Along with the participants, we as mentors also look forward to this spiritual journey.

We concluded the day with Ziyarat to the Jamkaraan Mosque. The mentors were dazzled by the level of beauty and spirituality that could be felt in the air. This opportunity to recite Du'a e Tawas'sul with all the Zawwar under the open sky filled our eyes with tears and our hearts with utmost awe. We then payed our respects to Maqam Sahib A'zaa-Zamaan (a.s.) and returned back to Jamia - our home.
