Youth Discussion Groups in India

This Ramadan 1440, The World Federation India Office and India Federation joined together and held Youth discussion groups.

The objective to hold these discussion circles is to get young scholars and youths closer to each other by having an open dialogue of important issues which matters to them. The topic of discussion was: Living harmoniously in a multi-religious society as per Teachings of Islam.

The sessions were held at midnight on the weekends to make it convenient for all to take part. Each session lasted for as long as 3 hours.

Maulana, Sayyed Zaki Hasan Noori Sahab, a renowned scholar in Mumbai conducted the event. The sessions had a casual setting which allowed the participants to speak openly and were encouraged to ask questions. Refreshments were served.

In total 62 youths participated and benefited from the discussions. The participants included Business-Men, Corporate Professionals, Doctors, Chartered Accountants, MBAs, Bankers and Students. The target age group was 25 to 40 years.
