The grand Ayatullah shared some generic and specific advice for the community:

The first and foremost Ayatullah shared was about community cohesion praising the community for its religiosity, unity, institutional spirit, preservation of culture and heritage and relief works.

Reminiscing about his native country, Afghanistan, the Ayatullah said that Shias there have been deprived of their basic rights for ages and are in need of assistance in reaching their educational, social and economic goals.

Ayatullah Fayyaz emphasized that the school of AhlulBayt is a moderate school of thought.  The current extremities being practiced by ‘so called Muslims’ are not and have never been part of the true Islam.  He added that the Ahlulbayt (as) have asked to propagate the faith by following through their actions and deeds and by being best Muslims in our communities.

He cautioned parents to be extra careful of their children, not allowing them to go astray by focusing on their daily prayers, truthfulness and moral values, which need to be cultivated in their early childhood. As there is a charm of the modern world and youths should not get deceived by these materialistic and temporary worldly pleasures.

On community Leadership, he advised that leaders should be pious, skilful and active people and spend their time and energy for the betterment of the community without any discrimination, fear or favour.

The delegation conveyed salaams from everyone at The World Federation, its regional members and councillors and reassured the Ayatullah of the love and commitment of the community towards marjaiyyah and requested him for his duas & blessings for the community’s success.

The delegation also assured the Ayatullah Fayyaz that The World Federation will continue to do its best in assisting the projects recommended by him.

The delegation before taking leave updated the Ayatullah on the various activities of the community and highlighted the work being done in his native place.

Shaykh Mahmood Fayyaz, the eldest son of the grand marja, visited the Secretariat office of The World Federation in Stanmore on Friday 4 March 2016 and after meeting the staff there, he then participated in the Juma prayers at Hujjat (Stanmore) Jamaat and following the prayers he had lunch at the Stanmore office.
