The World Federation India Office supports Panjetani Development Trust Madrasah by providing Syllabus for Preschoolers

Updated 20 August 2013

Keeping up with modern times, most Madaris in India are upgrading themselves to teach in English Language, use modern teaching techniques and follow a systematic academic year procedure just like schools do.

One such madrasah is Panjetani Development Trust in Mumbai. This madrasah is situated opposite Khoja Masjid at H. Abbas (as) street and is very close to The World Federation India Office. The madrasah is run by the youth under the guidance of prominent Ulema.

Panjetani Development Trust has in total 140 students (boys and girls) divided into 4 batches as per age. The uniqueness of this madrasah is that they start educating the students right from the age of 3.

The new academic year began in the month of June and The World Federation India office supplied them with 50 copies of the book “My First Book of Faith”. This book serves as a part of the syllabus for the students of the age group 3 to 5 years. The bright colours, large fonts and simple narrative presentation of the book is what attracts the students. Those who cannot read are given explanation of the chapters with pictorial support. Parents too find it easy to teach their children using this book.

Haider Ali of Panjetani Development Trust says “The book is very helpful as it has content with pictorial representation for children to understand in a better way. We are thankful to The World Federation for providing us the books which are being used as a part of the Syllabus for the Preschoolers”
