Updated 11 December 2013 The Wise Fool of Baghdad is an insightful collection of true stories from the life of Bahlool Dana, who feigned madness to escape the oppression of the ruling class in Baghdad circa the 8th century AD. As a result, Bahlool dispensed wisdom in strange and amusing ways.
The World Federation India Office has started preparations for the upcoming Youth Course in May 2014.
The course is aimed at providing Islamic guidance & support, personal development and sports activities throughout the 3 days and 3 nights camp.
Applications for mentors are now being accepted. Interested participants can visit the India Office and fill-in the application forms in person.
Applications for campers have begun and is restricted to boys aged 13 to 16 years only.
“Even without much advertising we have got an overwhelming response from the youth this year. Looking forward for a successful camp, InshaAllah” says Asad Virani, Manager of The World Federation India Office.
Parent Sajid Rizvi’s quote from last year’s course: “The change in my son, Jasim, I noticed the moment I saw him when I came to pick him back from the course was that when parting from his friends, he shook hands with all his teachers and friends. Before, I had to tell him every time to shake hands, say Salam to elders etc. etc...”
