The World Congress on Extremist and Takfiri Movements in the Islamic Scholars’ View

The International Congress on Extremist and Takfiri Movements in the Islamic Scholars’ View has been commenced on 23 rd of November 2014 in Qum, the religious capital of Iran.

The congress has tried to gather Islamic scholars and clerics to discuss the controversial issues of the extremism and terror that it has caused throughout the world. It had planned to gather the 600 Muslim scholars from 83 countries throughout the world, especially those scholars who are eminent in their own countries.

The congress focuses on the following objectives:

a- Confronting the ISIS (Extremist and Takfiri) in the Muslim world;
b- Inviting to peace, to friendship, to brotherhood among religions and emphasizing on interactions among them based on wisdom, preaching and exchange;
c- Determination in enlightening the Muslims about the evil nature of the ISIS;
d- Unifying the Muslims and expanding motives to integrate Muslims against ISIS;
e- Illustrating the deceptive plot of the ISIS that is carrying out the western-world’ agenda;

The following entities are responsible for the running of the congress:

Grand Shia Ayatollah Makarim Shirazi, Grand Ayatollah Ja’far Subhani (scientific management), Ahlul Bayt World Assembly, World Assembly for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Management of Hawzah (Seminary School), Dar al-Ulum Institute and Al-Mustafa International University.
