The Umoja games were established in 2012 after recognising that our Shia community were in need for a platform where members can compete, foster brotherhood, and build goodwill across borders and generations. Umoja games take place annually circulating throughout the North American continent with hundreds of participants of all ages. Due to the success of the games several new brackets were introduced to accommodate younger participants, and a women's tournament was debuted. Umoja games plan to develop and increase in participation for all tournament brackets for the year 2015.
