Dear Brothers and Sisters, as-salam alyakum,

Milad un-Nabi Mubarak to you all!

The birth of the Mercy for Mankind, our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw) is an event of great joy in our calendar.  By commemorating this day, we remind ourselves of how blessed we are that Allah (SWT) not only sent us a perfect Message for our lives, but a perfect Messenger to emulate as well.

However, even as we mark the week of the Prophet (saw)’s birthday worldwide, we must take time to ponder over the uneasiness that engulfs the entire world. This is a time to reach out to others with the message of peace and unity that Rasoolullah (saw) brought.

Those who profess to believe in the Oneness of God and message of all the Prophets sent by Him, including the last Prophet Muhammad (saw) must be able to translate this belief into action by showing respect and tolerance to other viewpoints and practices.

The differences we have must not distract us from the spirit of brotherhood among the wider community. This has been clearly exemplified in the life of our Masumeen (a.s.) who continued to work together and guide the entire ummah towards their goal of achieving success in this transient world and the hereafter.

I urge our global community to follow in these noble footsteps and continue with our outreach message of Peace, Unity and Service. We must remain focused and committed to our goal work for the betterment of humanity.

We at The World Federation hope to be able to continue to reach out to the helpless and the needy in the name and spirit of our Prophet Muhammad (saw).  We look forward to your continued support and cooperation in achieving these goals.

With du'as
