The COEJ ICA Annual Mubhaligheen conference this year was held this year in Peterborough, on 14th September 2014.The theme of the conference was inclusiveness, Inter and intra faith dialogues and was attended by 35 delegates from different parts of the United Kingdom. Both key note speakers, Sheikh Saeed Bahmanpour and Sheikh Mohammad Ali Shomali delivered their address on the theme in an analytical and contemporary approach, which was highly appreciated and captivated all those who were present.

Their content enabled observations and sharing of experiences by the scholars and other participants during the plenary session. This was followed by a very inter active and interesting group discussions in the afternoon session with presentation to the whole conference by each group. Parts of the conference were recorded by Ahlulbayt TV English channel and will be televised worldwide shortly. Most of the feedback received was very positive and included the following:

1)      An excellent conference on a pertinent topic,

2)      Key note speeches were excellent,

3)      The group discussions were very interesting and wished for more scholars and participants to be present.

 

The feedback received also pointed to some of other relevant issues that the next conference could address. The conference was also addressed by the chairman of COEJ Alhaj Dr HuseinJiwa.

The Chairman of the ICA Alhaj, Razahusein Rahim commented that it is important that Ulemaa and Mubhaligheen serving our community in Europe gather together at this conference at least once a year in order to discuss some of the topical issues within our community. It is sincerely hoped that all Mubhaligheen will endeavour to attend this in the future.
