Historic Moment for all Khoja Shia IthnaAsheri Jamaats in India
On 2nd February 2017, in the Extra Ordinary General meeting of the India Federation of Khoja Shia IthnaAsheri Jamaats, with an overwhelming presence of members and invitees, the new constitution of India Federation was adopted.

This initiative for which work had been going on for more than one year has United and brought together all Khoja Shia IthnaAsheri Jamaats in India including the Council of Gujarat and Kutch Federation and has added strength and relevance to India Federation which was formed in 2013.
The other important decisions that were taken in the Meeting include:
1. The decision to conduct elections to appoint new President with the next 1 year.
2. Agreeing upon the transition framework from the old constitution to the new constitution.

India Federation wishes to thank Dr Moledina for his ever-present support, and the mediators from The World Federation, Kumail Manji and Dr Hasnain Walji, and their counterparts Ali Akber Shroff from India Federation and Amirbhai Dosani, the ex-President of Council of Gujarat, for their efforts over the last one year to seek to unite the community under the new constitution.
India Federation would also like to acknowledge and thank the presence of other leaders and invitees from World Federation, Africa Federation, COEJ and other individuals whose presence at the meeting was a source of great support and inspiration.
