It's been one year since the opening of our office in Najaf. Click here to read the first year highlights of this office.
Three years since inception, and, by the grace of God, Who is Hussain? continues to grow.
Last year whoishussain.org received hundreds of thousands of visitors, a figure which promises to increase over the next twelve months. Every week, individuals from outside the folds of Islam come forward to ask for more information about Hussain ibn Ali; to learn about this man of principle, of dignity, of justice.
Teams in global locations, from the shores of Australia to the South American peninsula - and dozens in between - carry out a range of goodwill initiatives in the name of Hussain ibn Ali (may peace and blessings be upon him). Homeless drives, blood donation projects and interfaith events are put on each week, with ever-increasing crowds coming to learn about the story of Karbala. Just this month, contributors around the world reached into their pockets to fundraise £4,500 for Save the Children's refugee support fund, demonstrating the power the name the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad has to make ripples - even centuries after his martyrdom.
This Muharram we take another giant leap. As humanity searches for its collective consciousness in the midst of ISIS, the refugee crisis and conflict unabated, thousands will witness the message of compassion and respect for all that resonated through Hussain ibn Ali's life. Through targetted marketing, a revamped website and short informative videos, the legacy of Ashura will be broadcasted to individuals far and wide.
Who is Hussain? invites you to join this movement; to inform the world about the Father of the Free. The marketing campaigns, grassroots events, merchandise distributions and maintenance of the website all require financial resources to support. It would be a crying shame if campaign with the purpose of spreading the message of Hussain ibn Ali was held back owing to a lack of funds.
We therefore ask you to kindly extend the hand of support and donate. Please do visit the link below and donate generously. It will go a long way to bringing the same of Hussain ibn Ali to the lips of thousands the world over.
