Growing The Youth!

On the 20th and 21st of April 2017, we held a Youth Development Program in partnership with India Federation.  It was an exciting event, held at Haji Nazarali Imambargah, Kurla, Mumbai and attended by 16 youth (10 boys, 6 girls).

It is through programs like these that we aim to empower the next generation. Keeping this objective in view, the facilitator - Shabbir Khalfan - and his co-facilitator - Asad Virani - discussed topics that included Understanding the Self, Communication Skills, Personal Development Plans, MBTI and the Iceberg Theory amongst others.

Each participant was given a personal copy of the Youth Development Program Handbook which encouraged them to make notes and reflect on the course content.

The success of any program is dependent on feedback and judging from what these young people said, this session was a certified success and definitely an event to be repeated.  Aliraza Chaviwala expressed his satisfaction in the following words:

"The Youth Development Program provides a comprehensive, yet easy, tool to understand one's self. Conducted by an experienced psychologist and MBTI practitioner, it was a hands-on learning experience with lots of fun. The program breaks all stereotypes and explains how each individual is unique. It also solves everyday conflicts that people have on account of lack of understanding of each other's personalities."

"The 2-day program was a journey to discover myself as I peeled each layer that covered my real personality. I learned to be myself and not try to be someone else.  I was able to accept that I have my own identity, something I was struggling with. Excellent for those with confidence and identity issues and those who wish to develop their skills. Highly recommended for all aspirants of success. Jazak Allah khair!"
