On Tuesday 19 August 2014 at around 4pm in the afternoon, a fire broke out at South Paris Jamaat in France. 

We understand that the accidental fire started on the roof of the mosque where two workers were carrying out repair works. It is reported that one worker suffered minor injuries, however, Alhamdullilah no-one else was injured.

 

The South Paris Jamaat was established in the 1990s and is attended by over 1,000 people.   The President of The World Federation, Dr Asgar Moledina, has spoken to the President of South Paris Jamaat who has confirmed that the fire has caused damage to the mosque and they are currently in the process of securing the building.
