To mark the death anniversary of our founder, Marhum Mulla Asgherali M M Jaffer, The Khoja Heritage Project of WF took the opportunity to speak to his son, Shaykh Abbas Jaffer, to find out more about what Marhum Mulla Asghar was like at home with his family and how he divided his time between his job as an optician, his community work and his family.
Dr Sajjad Fazel
Dr. Sajjad Fazel is a public health researcher at the University of Calgary in Canada. His research focuses on studying and addressing Covid-19 misinformation and vaccine hesitancy.
Dr Mazaher Jaffer
Dr. Mazaher H Jaffer is practicing clinician in Kenya and specialises n Infectious diaseases. He is PhD student in immunology of COVID-19 and is currently the Head of Infectious disease at M P Shah hospital in Nairobi. Dr Jaffer is passionate about service in the name of Imam Mahdi (ATFS). He also workes in the feild of HIV, TB, hepatitis and antimicrobial resistance prevention.
Br Ali Akbar Datoo
Ali Akbar is an infectious disease epidemiologist and global health researcher, currently working for Public Health England (PHE) as an Epidemiologist. He has clinical research experience in medical technology and advocates for the incorporation of new technologies in the provision of healthcare. His research interests span across global health disciplines, particularly vector-borne diseases such as malaria which was the focus of his MSc thesis.
Dr Mohsin Jaffer
Dr. Jaffer has specialized in the medical care of seniors in South Florida for nearly 30 years. He is Affiliated with the following Hospitals: University of Miami Hospital and Clinics–UHealth Tower, Memorial Hospital West, University Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Jaffer also runs Senior Medical Associates, a group of primary care doctors caring for patients over 65 with a host of medical conditions. The company was set up by both Dr. Jaffer and his wife Fauzia to cater to the growing demand for senior-focused healthcare. It has ten locations in Broward County, Florida.
Dr Munir datoo
Dr Munir is a qualified doctor and has been a practicing general practitioner in UK, African and Pakistan for more than 30 years. He has a diploma in ENT from the Royal College of Surgeons and has special interest in Acupuncture. He is currently the Deputy Medical Director of London Central West Out of Hour Services and supervises GP trainees in the out of hour setting.
