COVID 19: Ebrahim Haji Hospital New Wing

As part of our COVID-19 response in Africa, your donations funded the extension of the Ebrahim Haji Hospital New Wing in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

At the beginning of the pandemic, the decision was made by the jamaat to create a new wing for the hospital and renovate some of the existing facilites. The whole project took just 45 days to complete, making it operational and ready for patients during the peak of the outbreak.

As soon as we appealed to you, our generous community, we received an influx of donations and pledges of support. We were able to support the renovation and extension of the hospital wing as well as the installation of a lift and purchasing of equipment for the hospital, including ventilators, CPAP machines, and cardiac monitors. The hospital has many facilities, including ICU wards, MRI scans, and various testing procedures, providing high-quality treatment to patients.

The hospital wing, which was used solely for COVID patients, will be transformed into maternity and pediatrics wards for use for the community going forward. You can see more from the Ebrahim Haji Hospital here:
