< Back to Why is Mulla Asghar as Relevant Today as he was 20 Years Ago?

A small note on relentless endeavours by Mohammad Mahdi Karim
A book which eloquently summarises the life and achievements of Mulla Asghar is “Relentless Endeavours” by Hassan Ali M Jaffer. It talks about the history of the Khoja community, talking about our Hindu and Ismaili origins. It also touches on a number of key themes and historical events which have been key in the formation of the Khoja community worldwide as we know it today. Moreover, it comments on the profound impact that Mulla Asghar had on the building and sustaining of the Khoja community in the west. The key aim of this book is to show how we can take lessons from the history of our community and use them as tools to solve modern-day issues. The book talks about the importance of maintaining and taking pride in our Khoja identity. The book was the main source of inspiration I used for this article.
You can purchase the book from our WF SHOP.
