The course was held at Hyderi Islamic Centre and was facilitated by Sister Mehjabeen Rahim, GCSE Coordinator of The World Federation’s Islamic Education Department.


Muharram functions were held daily for both ladies and gents at the Islamic Centre in Kathmandu, Nepal. A total of around 150 attended the daily programmes for the first time since the establishment of the Islamic Centre. Click here to read more.


The word EID conjures up various images – the crescent, the joyous calls to family to announce its arrival, the smell of food being prepared for the festivities, the gifts that we start packing to give to our loved ones, the preparation of the clothes we will adorn on the days, the beautiful smiles of family and friends who herald the joyous day etc. However this Eid was somewhat very different.
