Ali Asghar Water Appeal: January campaign raises over £16,000 GBP / $24,000 USD to build water wells in Pakistan

In January 2015, The World Federation launched an appeal to raise funds for building water well hand-pumps in Pakistani villages where families do not have access to clean water. Thanks to the wonderful support of donors from around the world, the campaign raised over £16,000 GBP / $24,000 USD in just one month!

With the funds raised, 63 water well hand-pumps will be built in District Mianwali, District Bhakkar and District DI Khan in Pakistan’s Punjab Province.

On behalf of The World Federation, we take this opportunity to thank all of our donors who either sponsored a well(s) in full or contributed generously to this appeal. Your support means so much to those who don’t have easy access to clean water. Now, we can go back to so many deserving families and give them the good news that they will soon have a water well hand-pump in the vicinity of their homes. Thank you for making this possible.

Construction of the wells will begin in February 2015 and The World Federation will publish a report in our weekly newswire upon completion of all wells. Additionally, individuals who have sponsored full wells will receive a personalized report of their sponsored well(s).
